There is a menu that showcases 9 buttons for various actions you can take, a compass that indicates the direction you're facing, a box that shows the item you are holding, and some weird bubble that I never figured out. There is a silver key at your feet and a couple doors. Putting 2 and 2 together I decided to open a door, and lo and behold I emerged into a forest.
This leads me to my next point. How in the hell do you find your way out of a forest where every tree looks the same? I quickly found myself getting lost, and only managed to figure it out when I whipped out a piece of paper and a pencil and began to draw my route in relation to my little compass on the menu.
Wandering through the forest I came upon some fruit, arrows, a coin and some other miscellaneous stuff. Then I stumbled upon my first creature. Oh wait He shot me! I didn't even get to say hi, he just hauls off and launches an arrow at me.
So drawing my quiver of arrows that's right I have no bow I shot back at him. After two arrows to the chest he seemed to implode and smoke surrounded him. When it cleared there was a skeleton. I can only hypothesize that my archer friend, who I will now refer to as Bob, had his skeleton ripped out by the smoke.
Poor Bob! He did however leave me another quiver of arrows. We appreciate everyone's support as we continue to refine our service for this new environment. Our live webcast and recording services are still available through Funeral Directors only. They will share any login details with you—for privacy reasons we cannot tell you these directly.
Due to the current increased demand for webcasting, our phone lines may be busier than usual. If you need our support and it isn't urgent, please get in touch via our contact us page. We'd like to thank families, Funeral Directors and crematorium partners for all their support messages and understanding at this exceptionally busy time.
To show our support for the heroic work of the NHS during the Covid crisis, we're donating money we receive from each funeral we webcast to charities helping provide food for NHS staff and families in need.
We are a leading UK provider of bereavement technology services, delivering music, webcast and tributes for families, funeral directors and leading funeral venues throughout the UK. Obitus' controls are solid. The game doesn't require prodigious button-pressing, and the standard control and interface scheme are well-suited to the unambitious game play. The game's visuals are dark and nicely detailed, although the animation runs hot and cold.
You move fluidly through the land, but your attackers are as stiff as Frankenstein. This doesn't dampen the game's overall appeal, but it doesn't set your mind on fire either. The sounds are repetitive, but there's some excellent stuff, such as the chirping birds in FalconWood. The music has an adventurous flair.
Obitus is a brain-teasing adventure game with just enough RPG personality to justify down-gearing the action. If you like to lose yourself in your games, check this one out. The precious Gems of Tranquillity have fallen into evil hands. Now darkness and chaos rule the kingdom of Obitus. Your challenge is to find the four lost gems and return them to the Dark Tower, restoring light and harmony to the crippled kingdom.
Awesome first person perspective view lets you experience this perilous adventure first hand. And 3-D action view screens will show you what's really going on!
Make sure you know who your friends are - not everyone is who or what! In forests, castles, dungeons and catacombs, you'll find clues that will lead you to the gems while deranged creatures stand ready to put a gruesome end to your quest. The unequipped adventurer won't get far however. So, stay alert and search every nook and cranny for the items that will assist you in your quest. Deep within the four realms of Obitus reside the gems that can return you back to your own time frame.
Each realm is a world within itself. And far below the sun's light are the accursed catacombs, where the most foul beasts dwell. Just one click to download at full speed! DOS Version. Download 3 MB.
