The following is a list of frequently requested software we have available for faculty and staff. This app allows you to install many of the college-licensed software applications as well as utilities to perform various OS repairs and tasks. If you have a college-owned Mac running versions of macOS older than Microsoft Office will be installed by default.
Please be aware that if you currently use Parallels or VMWare Fusion, there may be special considerations for the upgrade, so please let us know if that is the case. If you have a college-owned Mac running macOS It can be used on campus only.
If MATLAB is required for purposes other than teaching and learning, such as research, or to be used off campus, please contact the Helpdesk to assist in the purchase of an individual license. Office is available for college-owned and personally owned computers.
If your employment with the College is terminated, you will no longer have access to the software. Note: Microsoft discontinued home use licenses for Windows It is only available for college-owned computers.
If you are looking for a copy of Windows 10 for your personally owned computer, you must purchase a copy directly from Microsoft. Windows 10 is available for all college-owned PCs. Windows 10 is available to run on college-owned Macs as a virtual machine using Parallels Desktop.
See below for more info on Parallels. Contact the Helpdesk to have a Windows virtual machine configured. If you would like it for your personally owned computer, you may check out installation media from the Library Circulation Desk. Desktop computers connected to the campus network will be configured with a network-licensed version, and reauthorization will not be required.
If installed on a college-issued laptop or home computer, the software will need an authorization code entered once per year; new codes are available in late-August when we renew our license.
